D.J. Bettencourtis a former legislator who served as a New Hampshire House of Representatives member from 2004 to 2012. He represented District Rockingham-4 and was the majority leader from 2010 until his resignation in 2012. Bettencourt was first elected as an N.H. state representative at 20. In 2010, he became the youngest House Majority Leader in the nation (at age 27) and the youngest in New Hampshire history.
